Where are you located?
We are located approximately 30 minutes Southeast of Nashville, at 8242 Malachi Lane, Arrington, Tennessee 37014. *We relocated here from Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2011, and have continued to grow and expand our class offerings, enhance our learning environment.
How do I register?
Simply email in from our "Registration Drop-down", your class(es) of choice and we will contact you soon thereafter on how to register through our private, on-line portal. Once you are accepted into a class, you will be sent a deposit link to secure your bench. A "Welcome Email" will be sent closer to class time with more details and tips before you arrive here.
How early do I need to register?
Our classes are popular and fill quickly. We recommend planning several months in advance to reserve your seat.
Do I need experience to attend your classes?
Many of our classes are open to new jewelers. A few have pre-requisites that are listed in the class descriptions.
Do I need to buy or bring tools to attend NASJ?
Our classroom is outfitted with professional jeweler benches and fully stocked with high quality tools. There is no need to buy or bring tools. If you have specific tools you like and use, you are welcome to bring them. There is no requirement to purchase books, tools or other supplies when signing up for a workshop or class at New Approach School for Jewelers.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and casually. Bring something to tie your hair back, and a light sweater is optional, as our classroom can tend toward cool.
I want to learn how to solder and do jewelry repairs. What class would be best to take?
Our Bench Comprehensive workshop is ideal for learning the foundational skills every jeweler needs, including your torch skills and how to solder flawlessly, how to use the jeweler's saw efficiently and properly and how to perform the most common jewelry repairs ,ring sizing, chain repair, etc.....
I want to learn stone setting skills. What class should I take?
Our Stone Setting Comprehensive is designed to familiarize you with a wide range of stone setting techniques. You will learn skills that will help you successfully set stones of all types, minimizing breakage, and saving time and resources.
What airport is closest?
BNA Nashville is approximately 30 minutes from NASJ
Where should I stay?
We have a drop-down menu on our home page we keep updated with nearby hotels in Franklin. There are also options in nearby Cool Springs. Brentwood and Nashville are additional options.
