In this unique class, students will have hands on training using pneumatic engraving systems for use in deep sculpted engraving & micro chasing on jewelry, precious metal objects and steel items applicable to Hand Engraving Ornamentation. Topics to be covered consist of:
Work Fixturing for micro-chasing
Graver and micro-punch Preparation
Cutting line work and Patterns for deep relief
Background stepdown and deep removal
Background planishing, & texturing
Pre-Shaping and beveling of ornaments
Micro-chasing
Carving
Beading tool use
Relief around inlay
Inlay background processes
Holding tips and tricks
Framing and Layouts
PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS: Must have taken a Pneumatic Class. Must know how to use a microscope.

TUITION: $2,093.87 includes tuition, kit materials fee, and applicable sales tax.($1,600, kit fee and materials are $450, tax is $43.87)
TAKE HOME KIT CONTAINS: Mixed C-Max Graver Kit of 13 Gravers, 5 Traditional Gravers, 10-pkg Tool Holders, 2x2 Steel Practice Plates x5,.3mm Mechanical Pencil.
